Hi I've only just found this site, to introduce myself I live SW Scotland, I breed shetland ponies and keep the boys run them on and break them to ride and drive. I haven't breed any new ponies for 2 years just in case any one was worried about me drowning in small ponies lol. I currently have 3 in various stages of training at the moment and they all show in hand and under saddle. We get a lot of fun out of them it makes all the hard work well worth it. I hope that this site will give me lots of hope and inspiration.

I also drove a shetland until she died of grass sickness a couple of years ago, aged seven ,just coming into her prime. I tried to get another full sized shetland who was already broken with little success. I have bought a dartmoor gelding which we have just started to lunge(hes three and black) . We wont be competing next year , maybe the year after depending on how he goes.

Welcome from another Shetland driver (who defected from the big horse ranks as Shetlands are just soooo much more fun! ).
