Well, The best laid plans and all that ! Was supposed to be taking Murphy out in his cart tonight while it was nice weather and before it rained again ! My friend next door was going to backstep for me. I had phoned her and she was coming over for 6pm. I had got the cart out and ready and the harness etc and went to got him in at 5.30 to get him ready and harnessed up etc. Fetched him in and went to pick out his feet and groom him only to find he was minus a front shoe . Trust him ! So no driving tonight, you cant really go out on the road with only one front shoe so a quick phone call to my farrier and he is coming out tomorrow at lunchtime to put it back on. ;D I found it lying in the field so at least I have found it and he wont have to put a new one on. His feet were not done that long ago so there was still plenty of wear left. At least I did not have to wait long to get it put back on, my farrier is really good with that kind of thing. Don’t think I have had to get him out for this kind of thing much at all really but its good to know when you need them to come and deal with a lost shoe or something they are quick at coming to sort it. So no nice drive for us tonight ! (The lengths a pony will go to for a night off ! )

That was a bit of a bummer. But good about the quick farrier.

What a bugger!
Your farrier sounds great. Mine's a complete nightmare if you need him in a hurry!
