Can anyone recommend a good riding bridle for my fat Shetland?
The ones I have seem to come up too short or too narrow for his little fat head!
He has a very wide brow, normal nose size and short head. He looks like every other little fat Shetland so I don't really understand why nothing fits him. I have punched new holes to make the cheek pieces shorter but then I just run out of space.

I would recommend www.fyldesaddlery.co.uk/ you can buy the parts individually to make up a nice bridle. I have bridle with a mix of sml pony/pony parts and even the odd cob sized part for my shetlands. I have yet to find a shetland that shetland sized things fit

I make my own gear for that very reason, An Andy size bridle drowns Whiffy.

In that case it is a good job my father in law gave me a leather punch. I will have a go at making something mroe comfortable for him from the random bridle parts I have stashed in the tack room.

Bit late in the day as you possibly have one already but I'd strongly recommend Flyde and Dinky. Alternative is take his measurements and send them to any other supplier you think might have one ... hope that's of some help.
