had very little internet until now so couldn't introduce myself! I'm Rosie, lacking a pony at present but been driving for 8 years. Just moved to Scotland in order to pursue HDT with Chariots of Fire. Saving up for a pair of Fell ponies, hopefully to be acquired later this year if work picks up. I've been listening in on the conversations I can, it's really nice to have a driving forum that is not just competition and is a little more open to everyone than the BHDT forum. And I think I recognise Blossom from Fell Pony Fans - am I right??!!!

I can't comment on Amanda driving. As far as toning her voice down... I would have thought that the ponies used are all well desensitised and experienced otherwise accidents would not be waiting to happen - they WOULD have happened. Perhaps before being quite so critical about 2 very experienced and well respected drivers (Amanda Saville and Sallie Wallrond) you would at least have the decency to introduce yourself...

I actually think Shetties are quite cool - I have always wanted a pair of minis but at the moment I can only dream about getting two of anything, so they have to be big enough for me to ride comfortably!!
I hope this doesn't contravene the rule above, if so please delete it, but knowing Amanda I know she is more in tune to her team than almost any other equestrian person I have met. They are her livelihood, they get the best of everything and they are absolute stars. The "yee haaas" do occur but they only serve to excite the ponies to do a job they absolutely adore! You should see them backstage....
One more point, almost all chariots ponies are rescued and are the little ones that would be put down due to being too much to handle for a child rider.

Thank you Rabatsa, you can come out of the corner now! ...as long as you are not dribbling snot! Having Icelandics get's me a lot of comments on their way of going. Often I get told my horse is lame, or hurt his back! Our "Washer women" are rescued. they would make kid's plods, but they are on the way to making nice little driving mares........so far! Anyway, there is nothing wrong with the odd YEEEEE HAAAA!......maybe not in the private driving ring though,

And I think I recognise Blossom from Fell Pony Fans - am I right??!!! Yep, its me!!! I'm the same username on here as I am on Fell Pony Fans I've found everyone on here to be extremely helpful and supportive so far. LOL, at any rate they put up with my one hundred and one silly questions, and I learn a lot by seeing the pictures they post. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!! And best of luck getting your dream fells!!!
