Hi everyone, Directed to this site from another forum and recognise a few names on here too. I know nothing of driving but am looking to find out more! My name is Kerry, I'm 30yrs old and have owned an Ardennais X gelding for nearly 7 years. We're happy hackers. Just brought him back into work after having my little girl to find his saddle doesn't fit. He struggles when we try to lunge(in fact it just doesn't happen) so started to long-rein and he's taken to it really well considering we both have never done it before. So its got me thinking and am eager to find out more!! They'll be lots of questions! Here's a picture of him

Thanks everyone for the welcome. He's 15.1hh, has a really wide body but short stumpy legs!! ;D Looking at all other posts most driving horses are smaller. Do you think Harry will be too big to drive? You'll have to be patient with me and all my silly questions as i really don't know anything about it but am looking at the future

He is a super and practical colour. I am breaking my mare to drive and she is 16 hands so no way is your beastie too big.

Our cob is 15.1hh and pretty big, he is a Shire X. It gives you an advantage if you want drive to drive something bigger, like our Victoria or Landau.
