Jazz he was supposed to be 14.2hh but he just kept growing! He's about 15hhs now Happyhorsedriver Malaga's not even backed yet,no plans to drive him. Little Blue is the one I drive. She was "Ride and drive Missuss but whatever you do don't get on her back" when I bought her out of Henley Market. With my better knowledge now I realize she was far too young and had probably never had a bit in her mouth. I had her broke to drive and drove her for about two years. She hated bycicles and put her tongue over the bit.She tended to be too fizzy for the donkey group, and I felt uncomfortable with the shortears groups because we were always made to stand in a corner like outcasts. I never felt safe in an excersize vehicle especially if I had to have a groom and Blue finally rebelled at the flash nosebands and higher and higher ports she was forced to wear so as we weren't having fun anymore and our tack got stolen I stopped driving her and she spent the next ten years grazing while I rode my hinny Sarah-lee. Then I saw a Saddlechariot and my interest was awakened again. She took to it like a duck to water and I threw away the blinkers so she wasn't worried by bycicles anymore, threw away the bit so no one could complain she had her tongue over it and we went back to having fun. Three weeks after its purchase I was invited to take her to the local donkey group in the S.C. and there were a lot of pale faces when they saw her drive in but they all admitted she was so calm and well behaved she was the best behaved animal there ;D

Don't think I charged you enough for that Saddlechariot, I need a mule to make up the price - any of them will do!!

What lovely mules you have! And I think its wonderful that she took to the saddle chariot in the end.

Now that's a real compliment from someone in the U.S. I just drool over your American mules and the choice!! You have more mules entered in an Auction than we have in the whole of this country!

;D Especially so, as I live in the 'Show Me' state. Missouri's renown for its mules and mammoth jacks.
When we first moved in the middle of nowhere, I was bummed as it seemed there weren't as many mules as there had been in my childhood. But the past few years that has definitely changed. I see a lot of them in the pastures now as we drive about, and better still, a lot of mule babies are being born. I love watching the longeared foals. And it makes me happy they're being preserved for the next generation.

Last year I was at the Grand Canyon and the mules they had there were gorgeous I have never seen so many mules in one place before

Really?? I've been through the Grand Canyon, but we didn't get the chance to stop. Years ago they were using burros for the up and down trip, but I can certainly see why they would swop to the larger mules.
