Congratulations. Are there any bolts that you can undo to rotate the shafts a bit to give a bit extra width?

Ask Sue Mart at Bennington - she is lovely and might be able to help. Well done - he looks great fun ETA make sure your groom sits up straight with feet out in front rather than underneath - he is part of the turnout too and I think he should wear a jacket in the ring.

I drive a bennington back step to a highland pony who is built like a tank, we rotated the shafts to find widest point and gave them a spot of brute force carefully applied to make the shafts wide enough! We found the balance a little difficult to work out, needed me to be in more than one place at once, had plenty of extra bodies but no-one with any experience, didn't want two novices in the carriage while I was on the ground checking adjustments, and when I was in the carriage no-one else could judge how heavy on we were!
