Well, down here in Sussex along with almost everywhere else in the UK we had a wonderful spring which became quite worrying when there was no rain at all for some months. All the grass started to go brown (not that that worries me, having two fat Dales ponies!) and there were rumblings about shortage of hay, etc. Come the summer and come the rain. We had a lot of rain during June and July with the occasional dry and sunny day, even a few dry sunny days grouped together, but not many of those. Now we are having a fairly good August so far and I am pleased to say that it hasn't been too hot at all. There have only been a few very hot and humid days (which I hate) so all in all the ponies and I are happy bunnies making the most of what we get. The evenings are definitely getting darker earlier though.

Great spring and after a damp spell a good summer. Now in the monsoon season, which with luck will be followed by an indian summer before a bit of winter.
