Hello
As the title says I am new here and to driving. I have a 14yo Welsh Cob that was broken to drive as a 3yo but hasn't done any since. I have just brought him a trap and am doing some ground work with him ready to bring him back in to work.
Any advice from you experts?

Hello and welcome.
Your cob will have to start at the beginning with his driving again, and you will have to learn how to drive too. My advice is to find someone who knows what they are doing to teach/help you both.
What area do you live in so that forum members can recommend people to you.

Hi and welcome to the forum If you check out www.britishdrivingsociety.co.uk most areas now have their own website and will be able to point you in the right direction. Plenty of groundwork and you'll get there it just takes time. I'm currently working with a horse that was broken as a 2 year old to drive we gave her a few years of to mature and have started to bring her back into work it's amazing how much they remember Most of all enjoy your horse and this new adventure you're starting out on keep us update with your progress

Thanks I live in the new forest, will check out the BDS site. My mother is an experienced driver so that helps. My boy is working really well at the moment, had him pulling harrows un blinkered the other day and he was ace. Hoping to put in him in soon

It is good that your mum can help and advise. Even better that your boy is doing so well.
