Hello everyone. We have been mulling over the idea for sometime as to whether we should sell our driving shetland, Pepper. The reason being he just isn't being used anymore and it seems a waste of a great little driver. Sadly we always choose to drive Mingy (the 13hh) as she is faster and we can go further with her. Pepper has taught us everything we know about driving and is a lovely natured lad. He is approx. 38 inches, a gelding, about 14 years old and grey with a couple of black flecks in his summer coat. He has not been driven since last year but wouldn't take much to get him back into it. He is unfazed by ANY traffic, very kind natured (no kicking, biting etc), will stand quietly whilst grooming and tacking up. Absolutely fantastic with the farrier (not shod) and doesn't suffer from sweet itch/laminitus etc. Had teeth done 3 months ago and is vaccinated. Pepper has done village fairs, indoor driving trials and was driven as Rudolph at Xmas. He has a lovely trotting action and really can move when in trot. Cracking little pony and really must go to a loving home - would like to stay in touch. Here he is at the summer fair last year. And him in September 09. Do have video clips of him driving. Would be sold with all driving wardrobe (tedex bridle, leather harness, refurbished cart etc) Any q's please get in touch.
