We are still surrounded by snow and it is bitterly cold one of the coldest days we have experienced so far, tonight driving home from work we entered blizzard conditions I think there will probably be a lot of snow fall tonight, must admit it does look very pretty but by god is it cold and slippery

Snowed all day yesterday. I am fed up of frozen water supplies and having to lug buckets of the stuff about. I am covered in bruises from going base over apex too many times and have put spikey things onto my boots which mean I cannot walk on the rubber mats in the stables or in the house. Other than that life is Hunkey Dorey. I have to get to Goole > Hull > Goole > home today as I have to take my aged parent to hospital for some injections, and collect her happy juice.

Hull hardly had any snow! I left a good 9 inches here, they had about 4 at Goole and well gritted roads but Hull was lucky if there was 2 inches. There has been about an inch last night and everywhere is crisp and crunchy. I went on my backside again!!!

Lots of snow - I really hate it - an hour to drive home from work instead of about 20 mins.

Well it has been pretty much constant snow all day today when I was feeding the horses this morning it was extremely heavy the boys were rather keen to get back into their beds I have never seen them so pushy before but who would blame them, with the current weather situation they are only getting out to stretch there legs when they are getting their beds etc done 45mins to a hour twice a day and even then they are saying 'that's enough let us back in' they are characters when the snow is here ;D

My two are still getting a full 8 hours in the snow There is a pile of hay but only the yearling eats it and that when waiting by the gate as I thaw the water for them to come in to. If the field water was running they would be living out full time. The mare is 'ard and prefers to dig for her rations, it does not stop her from clearing all her hay when in on a night though.
I think that it is above freezing at the minute and we did not get any fresh snow yesterday or last night. Good day forcast but sleet for tomorrow.
