Hi All, What a great site. Have been driving for about 10 years. I mainly drive my lovely coloured cob pleasure and indoor/club outdoor events, but have been relegated to the backstep since my son got hooked on the driving. He is now driving a team of welsh sec A ponies (all white) aagh. all that washing!!! He has been competing for just over a year with them indoors and hopes to progress to some outdoor events this season. My son is only 17 so is still young and has lots to learn. We live in the midlands and would love to hear from anyone especially from around our area. Happy driving everyone.

Hello and welcome to the forum. White ponies are definately a bad choice. Suggest he upgrades to a set of duns, I have found that to be the most practical colour.

White greys, what a sucker for punishment! Where in the Midlands are you, I used to spend a lot of time in Worcs.

Hi All. We are near Pershore. Very near to Claudia Bunn. Yes, we must be mad having a team of white ponies. My son used to drive a pair of mouse dun shetlands and they were great. They were actually mud coloured. Mind you the one was a little bucker (yes bucker) so unfortunately we had to stop driving him. Hi Goldiepony another acquaintance from the other site.
Hi Estherr. No the little bug was never ours. We borrowed it for the indoor championships when joseph was driving (little bucker) single. I should have bought it cos it was a great little vehicle for shetties. Never found another and they dont make them anymore.

I have one! We got one made specially for a 7 year old kiddy. It's one of the most useful vehicles we have.

my little guys seem to be taking to long reining okay individually - and have had the shafts on their sides- next step pulling a drag - hope they are as good with that - as I only have little legs and I am no-way as fast as they are

You want to try that with a 16 hand mare that naturally walks half as fast again as you...... weather stopped play and I wont be doing any more until after the foal.
