Hello everyone ;D How exciting, a Forum Board dedicated to Carriage Driving. I am reasonably new to carriage driving but my husband has been driving for over 20 years. We own and drive a Cob and three donkeys. I look forward to getting to know you all (some names I already recognise). I may well be a reader rather than a poster, as I have lots to learn. ;D

Hi, I have a driving donkey and a 16hh mare I am in the process of breaking to drive. No I am not aiming for pair or tandem with them. I also drive a lot with my local rda group. I am not into competing or anything just having fun.

Nothing wrong with a horse and donkey tandem LOL my old donkey would run in front of my mare when we were practising the cones and if anyone saw us they would swear they were harnessed as a tandem it was hilarious to watch ;D

The donkey isnt the problem, control of him is great but the mare... well she would in all likelyhood stand on the poor beggar.

I have ambitions to have a mule one day...donks don't do so well in our climate up here but they are great fun, I do fancy one, I drove some years ago and enjoyed it!
