In a former life I was a western and saddleseat trainer. I still judge these classes and show my national show horse (American saddlebred cross arab) at wester shows doing western pleasure and western reining. If I can work out how to put photos on I'll try to post some pics. Oh and I show my donkey too.

True.... Rumpel walks at 2 miles per hour but he can trot, when he wants its really trot.

But if it makes you feel any better, so does my 15.1hh cob - the Shetlands leave him behind at both walk and trot on a ploddy day...bless him!

There's slow then there is "handbrake Hamish" slow. I was overtaken once by an elderly lady on her bicycle, as she slowly peddled by she said "you'll get done for speeding you will!" Hamish does what ever he wants.

Bob likes a ride from time to time, but I'm too big, but he didnt die for the purpose of this photo. Pip is ridden too. I don't have time to do much, but we got out to one dressage show this year. It was his first ever ridden show. And his first day jumping And I only get to ride Ginga at home because of time... I used to dressage him and his scores were pleasing and he can jump 3foot 6 with a numptie on top and from a stand (only 2foot 6) Ajay used to do all the Pony club and showing stuff, (yes that is me next to shetty when I was quite young) But now, over a decade on he does abit of driving but really specializes in this Teddy used to do that too, he originally showed, the pony club, he was on alot of price Phillip cup teams Again he is now just good at When I was younger I used to be abit mad, I used to BSJA and do all the Eventing teams, but I was only 7 Then my parents said I had to be sensable, so had to go showing with them, so pony and I had a make over, but it only lasted till I was 8, as my pony went lame. My parents then stopped showing, so I went back to jumping and Pony club, but only local stuff. I think i had more of a brain . Then we started driving.

Your Pip looks like a nice corker! He has a very nice outline when jumping.

Thanks-He is fab. I broken him to ride and drive a a single, and he is doing very well at trials as a single. A is a very sharp ride, but very fun, and so able, once his head decides to work with you.

Thanks. He really is a super ride and drive. Ginga is pretty good too, I drove him at the indoor chamionships, and he is great to drive but his schooling isn't up to much driven.

What lovely photos, I like the remarks about slow walkers too , I've got one, the walk sections in HDT are a nightmare, I've an (awful) photo of me finishing one, I look like a jockey encouraging his horse though the final stages of a horse race!! and my groom is counting down the final seconds on the stopwatch his nose nearly glued to it and the pony is walking along completly unfazed, out for a Sunday stroll!!!!!!,
